Do These Health Care CEO's Pay Seem Reasonable To You Conservatives?
Are these the numbers that make you want to try and tell the rest of us we should trust these people to do the right thing, that they have our interests above their own? http://blogs.webmd.com/mad-about-medicine/2007/08/ceo-compensation-who-said-healthcare-is.html Which dems are saying that we want socialized medicine? NONE, please quit using those same old tired, paid for. Frank Luntz talking points. America deserves better than that... no matter how many of you conservatives claim otherwise.

- Not to me. Most Conservatives aren't saying that reform isn't necessary just that socialism isn't the answer. A debate would be good with the intent of finding the best solutions rather than acting like socalism is the only answer. Having said that, the government has no business dictating what private businesses pay their people.
- Hmmmmmm seems about right for me, after all the shareholders approved it, well the Board did anyway and the shareholders, well they are a pain in my A**. But those other guys, way too much! Yours Truly W.W.Mc
- So do you want the government telling you what you are supposed to be paid. If you do you are a communist. They are independent businesses. IF you do not like the way they do business don't do business with them.
- 20-year-old twins Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, pocketed a combined $40 million last year. Will Smith earned $80 million last year. Johnny Depp managed to take home $72 million just for this year. Oprah Winfrey's estimated income is $260 million/year. So, it sounds reasonable to me for the CEO's.
- Unless I'm someone's boss, whether in title or ownership, I don't believe it's my business what someone else makes.
- It will to some. First of all, Obama is not going to bring in universal healthcare. He wants to make insurance more available to all. Second, of course universal health-cover sucks. That is why we in Western Europe have it. We think, hmm, our healthcare system sucks. I know, lets keep it. I guess that is the same with Japan and Canada as well. FACT - the USA spends more on healthcare PER PERSON than any other nation on the planet. FACT - the US has higher death rates for kids aged under five than western European countries with universal health coverage. That means that a dead American four year old would have had a better chance of life if they were born in Canada, France, Cuba, Germany, Japan etc, all of which have universal health coverage. But as the USA has not voted for a different system, things will continue till the American people vote for change.
