Are the Republicans right when it comes to health care reform?
That the feds should continue to give $170 billion in govt. subsidies to health insurance companies on an annual basis, support some of the highest CEO compensation in any US industry, and continue to support the billions in annual profits ($18 billion in 2008) that these corporations earn on an annual basis, while screwing over the middle class consumer in the process?

- No. As usual they are wrong.
- No as the other poster stated Wrong as usual
- The government should get out of healthcare entirely. I haven't heard a single Republican or Democrat suggest that. Well except for Ron Paul but he's just a loon right?
- Republicans haven't been right about anything in 30 years.
- Not today. Doubtful for tomorrow.
- what about the 64 trillion that democrats are in the hole over health care? should we pay that first or just spend another trillion we don't have.
- Seems much cheaper than what the Liberals are proposing.
- Last week Democrats cut 460 billion from medicare!
- What?????? What a silly Question. And Un-Truths. Your Rant is Not Accurate. (What if you got a job, and purchased your own Health Care Insurance????) ****** Did you miss the News that Obama made "Secret Deals" with Insurance Companies and Drug Companies?
- There is absolutely no reform in the health care reform, it is a sham.
- hell yes ! better than giving it to illegals and the scum bottom feeders that pay no taxes......ah,hey dude, how about your great source on the part "screwing over the middle class" .let's see it !
- I MUST BE A GENIUS COMPARED TO YOU SINCE I CAN SEE THE DAMAGE THE HEALTH CARE BILL WILL DO. THE DAMAGE THE OBAMA AND HIS LIBERAL DEMOCRATS IN CONGRESS ARE DOING IS SO GREAT THAT THIS COUNTRY IS DOOMED.
- Its hard to say. I think that they may have some legitimate points, but they are so outnumbered by lies (killing seniors, death panels, socialized medicine = communism, etc), that its impossible to see the valid concerns. We know that the status quo doesn't work and we don't have a capitalist system now. Nor can we ever. Free markets? Yeah, OK, so I'm going to shop my triple bypass surgery and go with the lowest bidder? Should the police be privatized also? What fun, maybe Blackwater can get the police contract. As with most issues, the GOP is so anti-everything its impossible to discern the legitimate from the propaganda. I'm sure there are some, but when their front people are town howlers, tea baggers and Fox News idiots, how can we tell what they are? Take the guy above me for example. I can't see his point through the DISTRACTING YELLING THROUGH ALL CAPS.
- The government should get out of everything but the military. Just think how the reduction in taxes would stimulate the economy! Oh, plus medical costs would plummet since they are no longer regulating everything!
- So you honestly think that the government isn't going to screw you just as bad ! Those insurance companies support thousands of people in jobs ! As far as the feds supporting CEO's compensation that is none of there business ! They need to stay the hell out of private industry ! Do you want them setting your wages ! Because once they start , they won't stop ! Why is it that liberals want the government to tell them when to do everything ! You all whine that conservcatives want to take your rights, but you're so jealous of CEO's that you think the government should take it from them because you can't have it ! OMG !
- If you want this health care we will see who is screwing over the middle class. It ain't US! It is the villlage idiot who has over 500 days of lies behind him...now THAT is trustworthy isn't it? hahahahaha God you guys are so BLIND! I can't help but wonder if you have a head injury or something that you cannot comprehend..this is INSURANCE YOU BUY! It is going to be MORE EXPENSIVE than I pay now...and it is going to be TAXED ON TOP OF THAT! PLUS medicare and medicaid will disappear and how nice of you to hurt old people, handicapped and disabled people FOR THIS! God..the intelligence of libs is outstanding....absolutely INCOMPREHENSIBLE!
- No.
- True health-care reform is where the actual costs of health care drop to where even an unemployed person can afford a five-day hospital stay -- without having to send the bill to an insurance company or mortgage the house to pay the bill. But that ain't gonna happen as long as our ELECTED representatives in Congress refuse to regulate the "Health Care" Industry. Why does it cost less for any medical procedure/clinic visit when insurance pays the bill than when the patient doesn't have insurance?? Greed, that's why -- it's a way to get people to pay for the insurance, especially when it ain't needed. Pay over $400 a month in premiums for more than 20 years for insurance to cover a $200 procedure you "might" need? I don't think so! By the way, it's the Democrats who are trying to save Medicare and Medicaid. http://us.rd.yahoo.com/dailynews/rss/topstories/*http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20091207/ap_on_bi_ge/us_health_care_overhaul http://news.yahoo.com/s/nm/20091205/ts_nm/us_usa_healthcare_senate;_ylt=AnfCdKrpJwIuj3xKEAHXR7c8KbIF;_ylu=X3oDMTJ1dXBkcGU0BGFzc2V0A25tLzIwMDkxMjA1L3VzX3VzYV9oZWFsdGhjYXJlX3NlbmF0ZQRwb3MDOQRzZWMDeW5fcGFnaW5hdGVfc3VtbWFyeV9saXN0BHNsawNzZW5hdGVkZW1vY3I- http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20091205/ap_on_go_co/us_senate_rollcall_medicare_advantage;_ylt=AnwU7inePF5gsFQ6KlmMNoQ8KbIF;_ylu=X3oDMTNjYmVncDRyBGFzc2V0A2FwLzIwMDkxMjA1L3VzX3NlbmF0ZV9yb2xsY2FsbF9tZWRpY2FyZV9hZHZhbnRhZ2UEcG9zAzEzBHNlYwN5bl9wYWdpbmF0ZV9zdW1tYXJ5X2xpc3QEc2xrA3NlbmF0ZXJvbGxjYQ-- http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20091204/ap_on_go_co/us_senate_rollcall_long_term_care;_ylt=Av84WPrlEIspAETev8gas1M8KbIF;_ylu=X3oDMTM4OW05NjAwBGFzc2V0A2FwLzIwMDkxMjA0L3VzX3NlbmF0ZV9yb2xsY2FsbF9sb25nX3Rlcm1fY2FyZQRwb3MDMjEEc2VjA3luX3BhZ2luYXRlX3N1bW1hcnlfbGlzdARzbGsDc2VuYXRlcm9sbGNh There are many more examples of Republicans working to make sure only those who "happen" to have mega-wealth -- or a "rich uncle" -- are able to afford health care.
