That the feds should continue to give $170 billion in govt. subsidies to health insurance companies on an annual basis, support some of the highest CEO compensation in any US industry, and continue to support the billions in annual profits ($18 billion in 2008) that these corporations earn on an annual basis, while screwing over the middle class consumer in the process?

Its hard to say. I think that they may have some legitimate points, but they are so outnumbered by lies (killing seniors, death panels, socialized medicine = communism, etc), that its impossible to see the valid concerns. We know that the status quo doesn't work and we don't have a capitalist system now. Nor can we ever. Free markets? Yeah, OK, so I'm going to shop my triple bypass surgery and go with the lowest bidder? Should the police be privatized also? What fun, maybe Blackwater can get the police contract. As with most issues, the GOP is so anti-everything its impossible to discern the legitimate from the propaganda. I'm sure there are some, but when their front people are town howlers, tea baggers and Fox News idiots, how can we tell what they are? Take the guy above me for example. The government should get out of everything but the military. Just think how the reduction in taxes would stimulate the economy! Oh, plus medical costs would plummet since they are no longer regulating everything!

True health-care reform is where the actual costs of health care drop to where even an unemployed person can afford a five-day hospital stay -- without having to send the bill to an insurance company or mortgage the house to pay the bill.
